According to an inside source, I am really bad at being spontaneous … debatable in my opinion, but I must confess to planning our 3-day Newcastle city break with a solid food, drink and shopping agenda in mind!

The social media industry version of going wild; tell a business owner it’s ok to take a break and go unplugged 😬 … someone said they were advised otherwise and that doesn’t feel great to me. Social media for business is a heady high of adrenaline and fatigue and a break from that now and again can only be a good thing!

Obvs your usual risk assessments need to happen first and a contingency communications plan needs to be place, plus comms to existing customers - but it’s not impossible. Even just handing over the reins to someone else for a small chunk of time counts as a break. I’d recommend it.
